New clarification added: QUESTIONS/CLARIFICATIONS RE RFQ/2025/56234 RADARS:· Is this system to be used for VTS or for Coastal Monitoring?· Radars to be IMO or IALA compliant?· Are these going to be standalone Radars or any integration is required· What are the expected environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, wind load) at the installation site?· Is there an existing power supply, or should backup power solutions be included?· The specifications mention installing the radar on an existing tower or roof. Can you confirm the structural integrity and load capacity of the existing structures?· Will the contractor be responsible for any civil works or modifications required for installation?· In order to be able to understand what to quote, we would need the information on the terrain around the Radar installation, preferable the GPS coordinates.AIS:· Does the AIS receiver need to be integrated with any existing VTS (Vessel Traffic Service) or control systems?· Should the system be capable of transmitting AIS data to external monitoring centers?· What format should the AIS data output be in (e.g., NMEA, JSON, XML)?· Is remote monitoring of AIS data required, and if so, through which communication channels (Ethernet, serial, wireless)?UPS· What is the expected runtime for the UPS under full load conditions? Given the need for these clarifications and the time required to incorporate them into our proposal, we kindly request an extension of the submission deadline till after at least a week of receiving the clarifications. This will allow us to address all technical and compliance aspects effectively. Please let us know if an extension can be accommodated and the revised deadline. Please find below the answers to the clarifications, Radar 1. As an example, the climate in Nauru can be described as typical warm, a tropical climate with two seasons. Dry and Rainy. Google has full details5. Is there an existing power supply, or should backup power solutions be included? There is a 220VAC power supply available – UPS units are to be supplied allowing a graceful shut down of equipment in the case of a power failure6. The specifications mention installing the radar on an existing tower or roof. Can you confirm the structural integrity and load capacity of the existing structures? This will confirm soon.7. Will the contractor be responsible for any civil works or modifications required for installation? There are no major civil works on site, but some are expected to be of a minor nature.8. Does the AIS receiver need to be integrated with any existing VTS (Vessel Traffic Service) or control systems? The AIS has to connect directly with the Radar.10. Should the system be capable of transmitting AIS data to external monitoring centers? There is no requirement for external monitoring.11. What format should the AIS data output be in (e.g., NMEA, JSON, XML)? Is remote monitoring of AIS data required, and if so, through which communication channels (Ethernet, serial, wireless)? The AIS Receiver will input directly to the Radar. There is no requirement for external monitoring. UPS 12. What is the expected runtime for the UPS under full load conditions? The UPS will support the Radar and AIS for a minimum of 15 minutes to a maximum 30 minutes to allow for a graceful shut-down of the equipment. The decision on further extending the tender submission will be made soon..Thank you.
