Description
The United Nations Office for Project Services , Horn of Africa Multi Country office (hereinafter referred to as UNOPS HAMCO) is pleased to invite competent Bidders to submit their respective competitive Bids for the Supply, Installation, Training and Commissioning of Medical Autoclaves for Ministry of Health/Armauer Hansen Research Institute (AHRI), Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in accordance with the UNOPS General Conditions of Contract and “Schedule of Requirements” herein uploaded under file ITB_Section_II_Schedule of Requirements under three lots.
Lot 1-Double Door Autoclave
Lot 2-Steam Sterilizer/Autoclave
Lot 3- Benchtop Steam Sterilizers
IMPORTANT NOTE: Interested vendors must respond to this tender using the UNOPS eSourcing system, via the UNGM portal. New clarification added: Dear Sirs,The below are some clarifications requests needed for Ethiopia Tender ITB/2025/56652: Lot 1:-Please can you clarify if the “Stainless steel rack with roller (minimu 3 level)” mentioned in the specs refers to a shelving unit different than the loading and unloading carts?“Useful capacity: 250-350 L” Could you please advise on the required volume, as the specification is quite broad?Lot 2:-“Useful capacity: 800-900 L” Could you please advise on the required volume, as the specification is quite broad?Lot 3:-“Effective capacity: 60-70 L” Could you please advise on the required volume, as the specification is quite broadDear Bidders, Please find below clarification response for the above clarification questions.Please be informed that Stainless steel rack with roller (minimum 3 level) means -Stainless steel autoclave cart with movable shelf rack (minimum 3 level shelves) on rollers for easy storing items in sterilization chamber.Please kindly note that any amount or Volume between the range is acceptable for all size mentioned for all the three lots.Best Regards,

New clarification added: Regarding Lot 3 : Can you please confirm to us about the local altitude ? is it less than 2000 meters ,does it reach 3000 meters or it exceeds 3000 metersWe appreciate your answer because it affects pricing.Dear Bidder- the local altititude is btween 2200-2500mtr above sea level.

New clarification added: Dear Bidders,Please find clarification questions received from potential bidders for your considerationQuestion: Can you please clarify the quantities of the items per LOT? Please confirm if all equipment will be installed at the same site. If not, please let us know the distribution plan of the equipment (location and quantity per location for each lot).Clarification: All of the items in the lots are needed for use in the AHRI laboratory in Addis Ababa. The respective quantities of each lot are provided (indicated) in Section III: Schedule of Returanbel Bidding Forms - Price Schedule Form (Form C).Question: The price schedule asks for: Installation ,Testing, commissioning and Training of technicians and operators. However, the schedule of requirement lists that “ Instrument should be installed according to manufacturer instruction at the customer site without any additional cost”. Does this mean that under “Installation ,Testing, commissioning and Training of technicians and operators”, only ‘Testing, commissioning and Training of technicians and operators’ should be included? (since installation should take place without additional cost) Please also confirm whether the cost of installation should be included into the price of the equipment, or into the price of “Installation ,Testing, commissioning and Training of technicians and operators”Clarification: The costst of installation (if any), testing, commissioning and training need to be indicated separately from the cost of the equipment.Question Could you share the reason for issuing this rebid?Clarification: The requireement is reissued with better lot organization for better delivery management.Best regards,
