    Description

    Cambridge City Council is seeking contractors to do structural works for the Bermuda Estate. It covers six blocks of two, three and four storeys. There are seventy-three existing residential properties (that are a mix of Council tenants and leaseholders) two garage blocks, community room and various external communal areas.

    1 to 24 St David's House, Bermuda Terrace
    1 to 12 Burgess House, Bermuda Terrace
    1 to 8 Cooper House, Bermuda Terrace
    1 to 11 Daniels House, Bermuda Terrace
    1 to 10 Gibbons House Bermuda Terrace

    The Council is seeking to award a contract for the provision of the following work:
    • Concrete repairs
    • Bed joint reinforcement and cavity tying using Helifix bar with resin anchors where appropriate
    • Installing movement joints and reinforcement.
    • Cutting away steel canopy from external walls to install movement joints, removing lead flashing, reinstatement of the structure.
    • Repointing
    • Redecoration communal area surfaces
    • Cleaning glazed walkway structures
    • Surface treatment to corroded steel on glazing units
    • Installing additional loft insulation
    • Cold bridging mitigation work
    • Replacing terrace coverings
    • Repairing circulation walkways
