    Description

BCP Council would like to seek input from the market and gain interest from potential bidders, prior to formulating any formal procurement opportunity. This will provide early insight into the likely level of interest from that market and will help shape the requirement.

BCP Council is conducting a Soft Market Assessment to gain an understanding of specialist organisations with relevant experience that can assist the Council with the provision of a building based short breaks respite service for adults with learning disabilities (18 years and over).

BCP currently commission short breaks respite building based service for adults with learning disabilities over the age of 18 years. One scheme for example: Accommodation with provision for up to 3 adults to receive a short break at any one time. This provision supports clients who have complex needs and limited /no mobility. Clients are assessed for their allocated respite provision and are referred to the service which will support the clients while accessing the service.

Commissioners wish to engage with organisations who can provide a short breaks respite provision in BCP. We are interested to hear from organisations that could provide respite within existing buildings or if organisations have access to a property which is accessible for clients with limited/no mobility, is able to accommodate at least 3 clients at any one time.

Our commissioning intention is to tender a short breaks/respite service, which supports clients with learning disabilities who have a range of abilities. Organisations must be able to support our clients who have complex needs. The building where the short break is delivered must be accessible for clients who have limited/no mobility, a minimum of 2 rooms should be on ground level and organisations should be able to manage the change in clients coming into and out of the service on a regular basis. Our Commissioning aim for this project, is to commence the provision of this service at the beginning of the next financial year.

Please could interested organisations, send a message in this activity. Please provide your organisations contact information and expertise in this area.

The deadline for this Market Interest is Monday 12 August 2024.

Participation or non-participation in this market exercise shall not prevent any organisation participating in any potential procurement process nor is it intended that any information supplied shall place any organisation at an advantage in any forthcoming procurement process.
