Description
Playing Fields, Vegetation and Green Spaces
The contractor will cut the grass across the totality of the playing fields with commercial ride on mowers, including cricket outfields and the Children's Play Parks
Fortnightly from Apr to Sept
Monthly for the rest of the year
This cutting can be increased to weekly if prior notification is given through the identification of any planned sporting events or matches on any fixture lists or where there is a requirement for a specific height of grass cutting for the fixture to be played safely
The contractor will additionally cut and maintain all the recreation ground banks, hedges and boundaries. This cut would normally be conducted a min twice yearly in Jan and Sep. This would include cutting and trimming back all hedges and trees (including obstructive or dangerous branches) around the perimeter and in the play areas
Play Park and Equipment Inspections
The contractor will undertake weekly inspections of all Children's Play areas, adult gym and static apparatus such as the MUGA. These inspections will be conducted in accordance with ROSPA guidance and best practice
The weekly inspections will be conducted by a member of the contractor's staff who is ROSPA Level 1 trained. The weekly inspections will produce
A completed electronic copy of the Kingskerswell Parish Council inspection schedule
Photos of any issues or concerns identified during the inspection
Both the schedule and the weekly pictures will be passed by email to (third party) and the Clerk. Third Party will compile these weekly Level 1 inspections to underpin and inform both their responsibility for all aspects of apparatus repairs and their Quarterly ROSPA Level 2 inspections
The contractor will not be required to undertake any playground apparatus repairs including soft closure entry gates. But will have a contractual responsibility to ensure (Third Party) is informed of any issue weekly.
Refuse Collection
Alongside a general litter collection, the contractor agrees to empty the twelve waste bins located at The Playing Fields and Kerswell Downs on a twice weekly basis, which will include:
The emptying of the 7 general waste bins, including the replacement of a new black refuse sack
The emptying of the 5 dog waste bins, including the replacement of a new black refuse sack.
The full black sacks will then be taken to the three Pavilion wheelie bins (Recycling, General Waste and Dog Waste) and placed in the appropriate container. The black sacks containing dog waste will be placed in a yellow sanitary sack before being placed into the yellow dog waste bin.
Only yellow waste sacks will be supplied by Kingskerswell Parish Council.
Additional Call Outs and Payments
The contractor will attempt to meet any additional or emergency call outs for any activity, with their ground care remit.
