Short description FP-HR-2023-03 -
Independent Investigation Services Framework Detailed description Waterways Ireland is committed to promoting a welcoming and harmonious work environment, where everyone will be treated with respect and dignity, and in which all staff will benefit from open, transparent, and just management practices.
We have a suite of HR polices in support of this commitment which include.
• Grievance and Disputes (Under review)
• Disciplinary (Under Review) and
• Dignity at Work
These 3 policies provide guidance and outline procedures for use in resolving issues or addressing concerns that may occur in the workplace. A key part of all three of these polices is the investigation process which comprises investigation meetings and other fact-finding activities. Investigations under each of these policies are stand-alone processes, the outcome of which will inform decision making in relation to potential hearings on grievance, disciplinary and dignity at work matters. The investigation process aims to provide an impartial, timely and fair consideration of relevant facts and events and to ensure justice and equity of treatment for all parties to an investigation.
Waterways Ireland has an internal panel of staff who are trained in carrying out investigations under the remit of these policies. We aim, through this tender process, to complement this panel by appointing experienced, independent, and impartial investigators who will provide additional or alternative resources as required from time to time, including review exercises.
